The World Wants to Divide

When Jesus preached there was a remnant that was separated to grace

John 7:43 “So there was a division among the people because of Him.”
John 9:16 “Therefore some of the Pharisees said, “This Man is not from God, because He does not keep the Sabbath.” Others said, “How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” And there was a division among them.”
John 10:19–20 “Therefore there was a division again among the Jews because of these sayings. And many of them said, “He has a demon and is mad. Why do you listen to Him?””

Jesus separates us from world

Luke 12:51–52 “Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division. For from now on five in one house will be divided: three against two, and two against three.”

Satan wants to separate us from life in Christ, from the body of Christ, from the Word

Luke 22:31 “And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.”

Christian never possessed by demon but may be obsessed. Here satan is removing his influence to counterfeit a healing.

Matthew 12:26 “If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?”
As believers, we can not see our union with Christ. What we can see is our union with the body of Christ, our union with the Word of God, and Christs love expressed in His church. Our testimony of a redeemed life is the most powerful reminder of the power of being united with Christ in God.

A powerful message of Redemption and cleansing and the rebuking of Satan

Zechariah 3:1–5 “Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him. And the Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?” Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the Angel. Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, “Take away the filthy garments from him.” And to him He said, “See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes.” And I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head, and they put the clothes on him. And the Angel of the Lord stood by.
Romans 8:35 “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?”

United to God

XXIX. Vitally United to the Father, Son, and Spirit:

Chafer’s 33 things you receive at moment of salvation (from Salvation L.S.Chafer)
You are in God and He is within you

1. “In God”

1 Thessalonians 1:1 “Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 1:4 “by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”

2. “In Christ”

John 14:20 “At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.”

b, A branch in the Vine John 15:5 ““I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”
c, A stone in the building Ephesians 2:19–22 “Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”
d, A sheep in His flock John 10:27–29My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.”
e, A part of His bride Ephesians 5:25–27 “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.”
f, A priest of the kingdom of priests 1 Peter 2:5 “you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;”
